Assam is the north-eastern state of India, stretching along the length of the Brahmaputra river, it serves as the gateway to The Seven Sister States. It is also called the land of red rivers and blue hills.

The state is a beautiful area covered in the lush green quilt. Coming to Assam is like going into the arms of nature.The population of Assam is a conglomeration of various cultures. From Austro-Asiatic to Indo-Aryan and Tibeto-Burman, all have come home to Assam.

Fascination- The state’s abundant wildlife and lush green vegetation are supported by the monsoon. Assam has five national parks including the World Heritage Sites of Kaziranga and Manas. It also is home for 20 Wildlife and Bird Sanctuaries. Single-horned rhinoceros is Assam’s specialty and so is the tea of Assam that has a fantastic aroma and very refreshing taste. Tea gardens are a fascinating site.The silk of Assam is very famous. The Asian Elephants that has been protected in the caring embrace of nature fascinates the visitors from India and abroad.

  • Kaziranga National Park- Spread over an area of 430 km, this World Heritage Site is home to a myriad of wild species such as tiger, elephant, Indian bison, rhinoceros, sambhar, deer.

    Winter is a perfect season for bird lovers to visit this place, as various species of migratory birds visit this national park in winters. Elephant ride is an experience people fancy in this natural habitat.

  • Agnigarh Hill- Agnigarh is situated in Tezpur in Assam. According to mythological belief, a fortress was built by King Banasura to isolate and safeguard his daughter Usha.

    The fortress was surrounded by fire (or Agni) all the time, hence, this place finds its name as Agnigarh.

  • Kamakhya Temple- Ensconced on Nilachal Hill, at a height of 800 feet above sea level, is an ancient temple dating back to around 2200 years back in time. It has a rich cultural heritage.
