  • Munnar-  It was a summer resort of the British Government in the south. The town is situated at the convergence of three mountain streams namely Muthirappuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. The hill station escalated at 5000 feet, has the largest tea plantation in the world and can proudly boast of its exhilarating and revitalizing ambience.

  • Marayur-  This place has a soil suitable for growing sandal-wood trees. This land has witnessed slow transformations and the epoch-making. Hence, remains of  New Stone-Age civilization has been unearthed here. It also has unique ancient stone cabins called ‘Muniyaras’ that are worth visiting.

  • Thattekad bird Sanctuary-  Lying on the northern bank of the Periyar river, has various species of birds ranging from falcons, jungle fowl, water hen, hornbill etc.

   The flora of this place is comprising of teak, rosewood, mahogany etc.

  • Eravikulam Wildlife Sanctuary- It has preserved the largest population of Nilgiri Thar in the world. The southern view is that of the gigantic yet adorable Anamudi peak. It also has the very famous Nilkurinji flower that will leave you completely at loss of words, if you are lucky enough to witness it at its full bloom.

  • Idukki Arch Dam- This is the world’s second and Asia’s first arch dam, constructed across the Kuruvan and Kurathi hills. It has the Iddukki sanctuary in its vicinity. This damn has an enthralling view of gushing streams of water and swirling air.

  • Hill View Park- It offers a panoramic view of hills. The beauty can inspire an artist and indeed leaves you in awe of the Maker and HIS dexterity.
