Temple HistoryIt is believed that LakhaMandal temple has a legendary background and was built by Yudhishthir. This is the place where Duryudhan constructed “Lakhshya Griha” to kill Pandavas but fortunately Pandavas were saved by the power of the Shakti. Hence, a Shakti Temple had been constructed here to celebrate the holy power of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Pandavas escaped through a cave. The cave ends at a distance of 2 km from the LakhaMandal temple. The present temple was constructed in the 8th Century with numerous stone engraved images with a mythological association.
