Overview

Lord Shani is a son of Lord Surya and Chhaya, hence he is also known as Chayya-Putra. He is the greatest mentor and well-wisher for the righteous. He is a strict punisher for those who follow the path of betrayal, backstabbing, unjust revenge and evil. Lord Shani is considered to be the strongest malefic and a stern mentor. Saturn represents efforts, endeavour, patience, justice and endurance. Lord Shani may bring restrictions and misfortunes. However, a well-placed Shani in the horoscope stands for a prosperous career, positive energy and healthy life. Lord Shani gives the blessings as per the deeds of individuals. Lord Shani may give appropriate punishments and rewards on the basis of karma. Lord Shani is dark in colour, dressed in black attire. He holds a sword, arrow and two daggers. He is mounted on a Crow.
