The idea of the festival was conceived in the year 2006, by the vision of the Honourable Prime Minister of India Narender Modi. He visualised the festival to make a mark on the global tourism map. During the festival, the Festival Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd makes scheduling for the Transportation, Accommodation, and Food & Guide for Sightseeing.
