Shani Dosh Nivarana puja helps to remove the ill effects of Shani dosh and to achieve the Rajayoga by worshipping Lord Shani. This puja is performed to get rid of the bad effects of Shani Dasha or Sade Saati or Kaal Sarpa Dosh. Shani Dosh Nivaran puja is considered to be very beneficial when the Saturn is afflicted in the horoscope. During Shani Dosh Nivaran puja, the devotee must first take the posture and then wash the feet of Lord Shani with water. The water offered to Lord Shani must be consumed by the devotee. Lit diyas with Sesame seeds oil in front of the Lord. Enchant prayer or mantra in the devotion to Lord Shani. Donate Black Sesame seeds or rice to needy people. The devotee must keep fast till the sunset. Break the fast by consuming rice mixed with Black Gram Dal.
