Goddess Siddhidatri: 9th day of Navratri

Goddess Siddhidatri: 9th day of Navratri

Goddess Siddhidatri is worshiped on the 9th day of Navaratri and she is the form of Goddess Durga. In Sanskrit, Siddhi is termed to be perfection. The Legend states that, in the beginning of the universe, Lord Rudra was worshipping Adi-Parashakti for the creation of the Universe. It is said that she did not have any form or any image that can be depicted. Thus, the goddess of supreme devotion and creation of the universe came in the form of “Siddhidatri” from the left half of Lord Shiva. Thus, the form is popularly worshiped on the ninth day of the Navaratri.
